If I had a genuine rs2 I'd not play the Russian roulette testing if it'll hold or not.

Do rods, service the engine and the limit is the sky

370hp are the cheapest and what I'd do if 315 stock are bored
We are talking about 450-480 in here and 600 nm is not that flat.

Similar to Jamo's post, my stage 1 would be a remap from Prj, and decat pipes, and a Mark H mod for the intercooler / crossmember connection, renew all vacuum hoses, and the two water hoses down beneath the power steering pump / adjacent to the water rail under the inlet manifold, (they reside in a very hostile location with heat), would be my choice for now giving a 370bhp.

And then start saving to do the stage 2 - rebuild of the bottom end, a refresh and possible porting of the head, replacement of the, possibly original, fuel pump with a Bosch 044 fuel pump.

The RS2 turbo, inlet manifold, and exhaust manifold can be replaced with a Garret, and Wagner upgrades respectively, if you wish, as the original items will be in demand and will sell well. These three items may not be entirely necessary, so it's up to your own discretion.

The RS2 exhaust system IMHO should not restrict your engine's ability to make 370 bhp and is quiet and discrete, and so not something that needs to be changed maybe until the end of stage 2 ?

      Nice dilemma, enjoy the car.

I agree with Darren. Work out what you want and just do it all in one go.
