Wow, that is cheap! 15 years back you could paint a car here also for that price, novadays it's like 2500>e.

Good progress. I hope you attach the exhaust manifold and turbo to the head and maybe also the intake manifold to the head before you install the head on the block. Makes life easier (need 2 people to place the head on the block).

                Keep up the good work.

Looks like they are in good nick. I have 18x8" alloys, and I'll be buying 225/45 tyres. Before I had 225/40 but they are too think, and ride is horrible, so now I will go 225/45, or 225/50 with some spacers. 235 would look good, but I would be spending most of the time in petrol station.

I had both on my A100, 18s and 16s. Yes, 18s will be harder no doubt, but only difference I felt between 18's and 16's is when you encounter a bigger pothole, then 16's will just go thought it and you'll barely feel it, while on 18's you will.

Your current tyre diameter including tyre is 63.2mm, so compared to current gap between the tyre and arch, following sizes will be(when lowered 30mm):

                              225/40 = 32.5mm less
                              225/45 = 40mm less
                              225/50 = 55mm less

                              235/40 = 36.5mm less
                              235/45 = 48.5mm less
                              235/50 = 60mm less
