The I5 with an 01A or 01E uses the bearing in the flywheel, correct. But in the 200 with the 016 the bearing is pressed into the end of the crank.

You could remove the bearing completely from the flywheel completely so the shaft passes through it and then find the correct bearing size to press into the crank, or have an adaptor machined to take the correct 01E bearing. I believe 034 used to do one.

    Hope this helps.

The project has stopped for a bit but guys from 034 jumped in and i am just waiting for the insert to use when fiting 016 gearbox with S8 flywheel..
I only must use AAN clutch... i must fabricate the mounts and it is ready for startup..

I wonder if you could do me a favour please?

Could you take a photo of the back of the S8 flywheel that you have please?

I'm interested to see how it centres onto the crank.

          Thanks

The mounts are all done... they are made from 5mm thick mild steel..
V8 now sits in the bay like it's in his natural habitat..

                  Next up:
                  Paint job (engine bay)
                  Putting the timing belt on
Fitting the gearbox, clutch and the engine in the engine bay
Connecting the loom and starting her up [emoji2]
