    @ Roger:

I have called a dismantler here in Madrid and he does have a front drivesaft of and Audi 200Q and a Front drivesaft of and URQ (price for everything is 60€).

    Are this the correct parts?

    Cheers,
    Rafael

The UR-Q driveshaft should be OK, but I think maybe the 200 has to be a 20v model to fit. If you got AKTE you can see if all 200 joints are the same or if 20v's are different. To check if it fits you first measure the outer splines on a RS2 joint and compare with the outer splines on the 200. If the outer splines are the same you have to see if the 200 joint fits the UR-Q driveshaft.

      Cheers,
      Roger

      PS! Package arrived?

As I bought from a breaker the whore rear of the S2 coupe (brake disc to brake disc) I have time to measure and compare RS2 and S2 drivesafts. The diff is for the V8 torsen conversion (see transmision thread about Quaife)

Anyway here is a pic of the 2 rear RS2 drivesaft close to an S2 drivesaft

The two rear RS2 drivesaft are similar in lenght. One looks like the exact same dimension as the S2. Inner CV between S2 and RS2 have same part number so I don't see any problem in swapping outer CV (will do it next week).

One of the drivesafts should be a direct swap the other is for the Outer CV swap.

Anyway Roger I have one question for you (see picture)
RS2 bearing is not only wider 82mm vs 75mm but is thicker so I suspect that putting the two drivesafts together they should be the same lenght up to point "1"? So in case they are no need to swap Outer CV.

Or should they be up to the end, point "2"?

As you can see Outer CV in both cases are the same lenght up to the last part, where the RS2 has a longer "nose"

            Cheers
PS For sale rear calipers, rear subframe and rear hubs PM me anybody interested.

One driveshaft is "bolt on" , but the other side is a bit more difficult. Solution looks easy: put RS2 outer CV onto S2 driveshaft, but on the S2 driveshaft I had the RS2 CV didn't fit
As said earlier I used a UR-Q driveshaft with a 200 20v outer CV(maybe the RS2 outer CV can be used, but I'm not sure. I think the UR and 200 20V has larger outer driveshaft splines then RS2.

              Cheers,
              Roger

Roger, I will give a try to your idea but will need some help.

Does anybody have an S2 or RS2 front drivesaft lying around?
If you have please measure the full lenght of it up to point 1 in the previous picture.

Roger, one more thing, did you had the CQ rear drivesaft or the S2?, because they are different.

                Cheers,

I didn't use either CQ or S2 driveshaft at the rear, but both are the same lenght. Only the splines on the shafts are different.

Roger, I meant when you tried to swap the outer CV between the Coupe and RS2 and did not work , did you try with a CQ drivesaft or with a S2 drivesaft?

                    Cheers,

I tried both. The S2 had larger splines then the CQ, but RS2 was larger then S2. UR-Q even larger as I recall. Maybe front RS2 CV will fit UR-Q driveshaft.

                      Cheers,
                      Roger

                        Roger:

I cannot find around here the front drivesafts of the S2, RS2 to measure.
This is the best I found, is a pic from Tots site of the S2 drivesafts, I reckon the 2 right ones are the front

Although maybe the pic is wrong. What do you think?

What exactly do you want to know. I have lying around:
                          2 rear RS2 driveshafts
                          2 Front S2 driveshafts
Rs2 hubs and S2 hubs, both front and rear.

Is there anything you need measurements of.........

Sorry Jeffer, some part of the conversation with Roger was on PM

So far I have two rear S2 drivesafts and 2 rear RS2 drivesafts.
The longer of the rear S2 drivesafts in identical in lenght to one of the rear RS2 drivesaft (so one problem solved)

The other is shorter than both RS2 rear drivesafts. Roger came up with the idea, that mayme one of the front drivesafts that work with the 82mm bearing could be the same lenght as the rear s2 drivesaft I am missing (the shorter one) So I need somebody to measure the lenght of the front RS2 or S2 drivesaft (they are the same) to compare with the one I have lying around.

Jeffer measure up to points 1 and 2 just in case (see picture above)

So as you have them we can solve the mystery today

                            Cheers,

Well today is rather optimistic.....I have the S2 shaft in my parts depot, 8 km's away from my home.
I think I can measure the shaft tommorow night.
                              You have a PM aswell.

Roger, I think I have a new problem.

I took out the S2 drivesafts from the diff (was missing the correct tool) and found out the RS2 one is slightly shorter than the S2 drivesaft.

Wich got me into thinking. You have a CQ and your rear diff uses 100mm flanges while the S2 uses 108mm flanges so I think we have a difference of 8mm between your setup and mine. Will post a pic this evening.

                                So I have some ideas.
                                1. I do not know how to measure and you use the 108mm flanges so it is fine
                                2. I can put the 100mm flanges (I am not sure because of the V8 diff)
                                3. I can fit an 8mm spacer at the diff connection
                                4. I can search for other drivesafts from the Audi Family

Anyway maybe Jeffer saves me with the front drivesafts measure.

                                Cheers
PS Because of the tip of the outer CV joints is longer on the RS2 the difference is more clear at point "1" of the picture on top but at point "2" they both drivesafts are almost the same lenght.
