Wich got me into thinking. You have a CQ and your rear diff uses 100mm flanges while the S2 uses 108mm flanges so I think we have a difference of 8mm between your setup and mine. Will post a pic this evening.

    So I have some ideas.
    1. I do not know how to measure and you use the 108mm flanges so it is fine
    2. I can put the 100mm flanges (I am not sure because of the V8 diff)
    3. I can fit an 8mm spacer at the diff connection
    4. I can search for other drivesafts from the Audi Family
No reason to be worried The RS2 is a couple of mm shorter, but the CV's have to move in&out when driveshaft moves up&down with suspension movement, and there is enough "slack" in the CV to take up the difference in lenght. Test it this way: Install driveshaft and check for slack when suspension is "all out" (car jacked up). If driveshaft can be moved a bit in&out (car jacked up) everything is OK

    About your ideas:
    1. I use 108mm flanges, but you can measure 100/108mm has nothing to do with length, only diameter of CV.
    2. No
    3. A spacer can be fitted if there is no driveshaft slack(movement) as mentioned earlier in post.
    4. Maybe, but I'm sure it will not be needed.

    Cheers,
    Roger

FOUND THE SOLUTION FOR THE DRIVESAFTS

Roger, I did not listen to you and still went today to see if I could swap the Outer CV just in case

You were right and the splines on the S2 are narrower (diameter wise) than the ones on the RS2, but then one mechanic at the stealer came up with an idea (I am friends with the chief mechanic at the stealer so I can use their installations for free )

Anyway, the Outer CV housing (if you understand me) had the same dimmensions on both cars so we dismantled everything in both and transport the S2 inside stuff of the CV (very technical language, I know ) into the RS2 CV and it worked

        Some pics:
First the RS2 Outer CV cleaned and clear of all ball joints and stuff the same has to be done the the S2 one

Refeting the inside pieces (6 balls and two machined parts) It is very important that the two machined (moving parts) are entered the same way they came out.

            Finished product.

We reinsert this CV into the S2 rear drivesaft without any problems and movement was perfect without hearing any sounds.

Tip: To take out the Outer CV we had no problems with the S2 one with the help of a hummer, but with the RS2 we it wouldn't go out (was rustier) and we broke some internal parts (Thank god I did not need those) So a good tip is to use the OE bolt that holds it in the car and a compressed air gun. Just try to bolt it a lot and it will come out fairly easy without trouble.

@ Jeffer: There you go! Now you just have to machine the housings

              Great discovery!

Nice to have multiple solutions to a problem

Have everything now, except one thing, just remembered

Roger, what brake lines are you using on the rear calipers?
Is there any problem with the lenght similar as what happens with the hand brake cables?

                Cheers

                    I am installing everything.
Found the first and hope only problem.

Roger, it seems that somewhere between 92 and 94 the rear housings had some minor modifications done. The bolts to the strut on the pre housings are M12 while on 94+ are M14. So there is a machinist making the holes to M14.

                    Cheers

Ok. Some pictures of the progress for an update.

One of the housings is on for checking seems to be ok. Standard Coupe Brake-lines seem to fit perfectly into Porsche caliper.

                      Next step is handbrake instalation.
                      Cheers

PS Also installed Whiteline RARB but painted black for stealth purposes

I'm sorry, but I wasn't aware of that. I knew that front struts where 14mm on newer models, but did think that everyone had 12mm at the back. Hopefully not a big problem to drill out to 14mm.
When I see your pictures I wish I had made my own housing just as nice. Struts and housings looks as they are new from factory

Don't worry Roger. They are both machined to 14 now so everything correct.
Only problem left is figure the best way for the hand brake cable to go.

                              Can't wait to test it

I am using standard RS2 wheels. I did try to bet on some Magnesium Cup 1 wheels from the 964 RS but no luck. 1200 Euro + VAT each from Porsche

Maybe I will get an 18'' set for summer and a 17'' for winter. I like the GT3 split rims. There is a boxster application of 7,5 x 18 ET 52 so should fit spot on.
