    What have I just found?

Along with probably everyone else on here I have been looking for Audi bargains in the classifieds. This is probably the closest I have come and it's close to me, so after the initial shock and a bit of calming down I don't think it's actually that exciting and I know I am going to show my lack of classic Audi knowledge but what exactly is it?

I am guessing a non-turbo 2.2 5 pot Quattro and probably the 131bhp quotes is correct, good spec and would make a good project for someone but not S/RS territory?

As above 2.2 KV engined CQ.......and a bit overpriced.
I suspect the seats and doorcards have been added as you'd expect the carpet to match?.......probably fitted by same owner who swapped in the wheels, decals, exhaust and steering wheel?
                      Could be a nice car?

That is a shame but it could be returned to standard with a decent exhaust and those rings removed.

It is indeed a KV Coded 2.2 10v. Had a couple of these myself years back. Loads of grip and torque and the best sounding N/A 5 pot by a country mile. Think they have 136bhp but the extra 5bhp the seller has missed out on will not make it into a quick car. They are really quite slow. About XUD 1.9 diesel engine quick but the best fun in snow.

                        I miss mine, great cars.

Interior photos have very skillfully managed to crop out everything else other than the replaced front and rear seats so that's suspicious to say the least.

Cheers, guys and for the amusing comments. I noted the decals, they would be first to go, also noted the mis-description, there are some thick dealers out there but I doubt that thick. Also noticed the [photography neatly mossed all the bits I really wanted to see. I might try to pop along for a nosey but I doubt it's for me, if I do and it's an absolute peach (lol) what would it be worth?

If it helps you, I sold an identical model 10yrs ago for £1650.00. I paid £1800.00 for it 2yrs prior to this. However, it was close to mint, 120k on the clock, quattro script interior, had orig exhaust, no peeling door rubbers, no horrific aftermarket rings half way up the doors, the correct badges on the back etc. I won't go on but for me, this car is overpriced by at least £1000. About 5yrs ago, I sold another identical model to this but this time it was not mint. There was the start of some rust on front arches, a dent in the rear wing, a stainless exhaust but everything else including the interior was OEM and it had 20k less on the clock (irrelevant with good servicing on these engines though) I sold that one for £500 I think, possibly £450. Anyhow, although it was a while back, these cars are now even older, hardly sought after and will be running into a few more mechanical gremlins and electrical faults etc. Sure, go check it out, it might be a peach but even if it is, I wouldn't pay much more than £800 for it in today's market. Believe me, they are hard cars to move on, even at reasonable prices (which this one isn't)

                              HTH.
