What is the car to be used for as it is too stiff and powerful to daily ?

Maybe you should consider keep all your old parts and making up a spare engine to have on the shelf ?

Nothing is getting for S cars is 'common as muck' these days, especially where you're based. Just a suggestion.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks
Car is not going to be a daily driver. Only a weekend car and occasional track and drag use

Main reason i am going over and above with everything is so it gives the engine room to move in case i want to chase more power.
But i think i should be very happy with the result once finished

Really great build. I love the color. What is the paint code? Any more pictures of this car in its natural habitat?

I really love the color, it looks so different in each light setting.

My pearl clone is past due for a spray... Maybe a color change is in its future.

                    Good news!

Engine is in and we did a test fit on my existing evo manifold and the turbo fits perfectly!!
So i dont have to wait for another manifold!!!
                    [emoji41]

Also with the 10mm girdle plate i was worried i would clear the subframe cause the sump sits lower bit it clears everything nicely.

Now just need to bolt all the bits on and get her running.
Also in other news i pulled out the aircon cause it keeps getting in the way for the reverse intake!
Should run cooler now cause the radiator isnt blocked
Hope to have it running by end of next week!!

So happy that everything is going to plan!!!

                          so just another update.
the car has been back with me for a week or so i think now. Havent driven it much. Basically its on a run-in tune so its a real lag-monster at the moment with boost not coming on until approx 4800 and rev limit only at 6500rpm...

Good news is that the "run-in" tune is a measly 290kw at the wheels at 18-19psi though....

So i cannot wait to get her back in for the final tune..
Rev limiter will be set at 9000rpm for a nice full power band.
Not sure what boost settings i will run as yet (see what it can do comfortably) but im thinking around 24-25psi low boost setting should be around 350kw and a high boost of about 35psi should get me close to my goal of 450kw (or 600hp) at the wheels

Failing that the new Garrett GEN 2 GTX3582r turbo just got released and its a similar sized turbo but capable of an extra 100hp

                          time will tell

The only size filter i can fit!!
And even then i had to hack 10mm off the back of the pod to get it in there

You might want to try routing the filter away from the exh manifold. Easier said than done, however, it will stop you sucking in a load of very hot air.
