thats a great finish and a great price (am very envious given the state mine is in just now cosmetic wise). How much effort was it to strip down to give it to the painters and what bits failed on the way getting them off the car as I am sure some things would be pretty brittle after 25yrs.

If i could get as good a finish on mine for £1200 I would be searching for a runner so I could park it up and start stripping it down

I was surprised how good and strong all the parts where. The biggest problem was finding out how to get some of the bit of.
I did break one of the parcel shelf covers, but the rest was fine.
It dose however take longer to put them all back.
I don't think it would be that easy to get the screen out in one piece, Which is why I left the rear one in. Didn't want to risk losing the Quattro logo glass.

Looks beautiful Lou, that is a great price it you must be very pleased with it.
You just need to paint the intercooler in stealth black

What a beauty, Lou. I am glad you still love the car enough to treat it to a Birthday treat like that.
Mine turns 25 next Spring, but I think it will just be treated to a new home in the dry for it's Birthday.

I agree with Alex about the intercooler btw.
