Iv literally just put oil in and i was running 440 in the car for a bit still not mapped in before i pulled engine out and the pressure never dropped its only just started doing it now when oil is hot ... also i too mineral oil out at 30 miles on clock and it didn't smell of fuel?
Well guys iv been a naughty boy and decided to not eat for a week after buy these little devils for the coupe can safely say the misses will NOT be finding out the price of these 😂😂😂😂😂 looking forward to getting my coupe looking like it did back in the glory days ( not that they ever ended) only bits an bobs to do now ... jp is sorting my oil pump after it was put together a little wrong no fault of the lad that did it ... body shop for touch ups and remap after being bedded in hehe brum brum
Hi guys sorry for having no updates still on going problem but havent really had time ... put stock injectors back in anyways for now and done various checks ... last bits to do is ANOTHER oil pump rebuilt by jp and check clearances then fingers crossed we should be rolling .... pics to go up later once i have them guys ... cant wait to have this back on the road then be back in the body shop to work some magic
After being off the car for months Iv finally made excellent progress and learned so much
Oil pressure SORTED needed GENUINE mfts not after market
Iv now put all my oem carbon trim inside the car
Wired up my air fuel ratio gauge into centre consol
Put a front cabriolet anti roll bar (25mm) on the back of the car which has made my coupe into a completly new car!
Had my turbo to intercooler pipe remade out of aluminium as the rubber one split where the little pipe joins on
Managed to get some door card rubbers off another car (winner)
Got hold of another window relay as mine had dry joints and still didn't work properly after I tried reheating the solder
Got some more bottom door seals for outside the car put them on
Next for the agenda I'm having all my exhaust redone as whoever "made" the powerflow on the car before I bought it did about as good a job as a 2 year old ... inside was so bad ... not lined up ... bits of weld stuck on the inside aswell as welding wire ... pipe inside pipe and welded around etc you name it the exhaust had it so that's booked in after i spent some time with some mates chopping up the old exhaust and tacking it up ready for the pros to go to town with it
Pics to follow later on once I'm reunited with it in a couple weeks while I'm away
Dont worry pics will definatly be following I just haven't had the chance to do so yet as I'm away for a bit BUT soon as I'm back and reunited with my car with my new rebuilt exhaust I'll take lots of pics and throw them up and explain what's going on in them
betterwith4 what was the root cause of the oil pressure issues? Nice work progressing on the build. Just had a chuckle when I read the previous posts on the carbon trim too

Basically the mfts I bought was not .... NOT genuine so even though it was working to an extent (boost was back to working properly And wasn't sputtering and smoking etc).. it was giving false readings ... soon as I bought a genuine one second hand but was tested and working correct I bobbed it in and boom everything working perfect readings great oil pressure perfect ... but the oil pump being rebuilt was a good thing to do anyways
