What other aftermarket arrangements are you referring to?
Sorry, what I meant was the other aftermarket ventilation systems that people use to replace the factory oem ventilation / recirculation system on an AAN / ABY.
I was wondering what this diesel piece is in the sump, how does it work, and why is it 'better' that what's used in an AAN / ABY ?
[QUOTE=macspring;929310]Do you / anyone know what the spec of the AAN cams and the 7a cams are for comparison purposes with the specs of the Shrick cams ?

Thanks.
It just moves the breather inlet inside the engine to the front part of the sump, so in hard lauches the sump oil doesn't go up in the breather hoses/pipes. The bad part is that the breather inlet is now lower down in the sump. This part is found in the AAT engine, not in AEL. There is not enough space in the AAN/ABY block to make the fitting holes for it. You need to make a DIY pipe and fittings or use a good sump baffle.

Have put some miles on the car by now and it seems to work just fine with all changes.
Engine is running well and the oil temp is much better with the oilcooler behind the grille.
Like a completely different engine with new camshafts, so much more low end torque/power!
Spools much faster!
The brakes grip much more and much firmer suspension.
Bought some new rims as well.
Needed a re-painting, but they became pretty good

Looking good Nice with the oil temp to! I have installed a digital temp sensor in the sump after I installed my second oil cooler, it shows like 90-95 deegres at the most. What's your oil temp now? Like your new rims! Also a little yelouse about your cams
