Significant difference of the B3 is the gas tank which sits behind the rear backrest rather than the boot floor. That makes it even more difficult for a transplant. There was one German who had done a B3 transplant, I have photos of the process. His name is Oliver Sprenger. A lot of effort had been put making that car, which is avoided if you have a B4 chassis

and yes Andy, i want to use as much as possible of the base car, so i think i will go for a B4 2.3 quattro, and it gives me to enjoy the 5 pot sound until i do the swap and i got already 2 of 2.8 quattro coupe in the past and they did feel very heavy...
i got already a few in the radar, i could buy a lot of 2 or 3 cars in germany to finance a litlle bit by making some business reselling in belgium or holland, i m waiting for the pictures from the seller for the group buy, each for 1500€ but with some work of course
and i got already some parts for the works, S2 hubs, front and rear bumpers, 996 front calipers, ...
after this project, i will have the complete S2 family: Coupe, Avant and Sedan

Just came back from a 1200 km road trip to germany to see a very special dealer, he s got an Audi graveyard full of more than 100 cars in different buildings
ur quattro,coupe, S2, S6, S4, 90,80 sedan, Avant... u name it , he s got them all !!
Got a green B4 sedan quattro 2.3 from 92 with sunroof, 180 000 km, but with also a lot of work to make it back to her former glory !!

got it delivered at my friend's place, washed the car, paint is in pretty bad state , need a complete check up.., 1st thing to do cam belt, did not drive for 3 1/2 years now

just spent the all week end in the garage, what a joy, all brakes were pretty rusted, needed to heat up all the bolts to unscrew them, took a lot of time, the paint is shot, so will need to make a complete new one...

project is very slow due to time doing works in a house in Portugal,
