I dit what I could but engine was done buy a racing team here as they cleaned all the insides.
I do not know the power it has a Mihnea chip and it is boosting 2,0 - 2,1 Bar max wich I think is too much, will ask for a detuned boost chip. At the moment is mental, Paul could estimate it but not far from 380 BHP I would think
Well, the best tyres I have seen in the S2 are S02 N3. RE050 are very similar to S03, but I do not feel the crisp turn in as the S02. Still I am starting to give the chasis some work and will update on the tyres if you want.
After seing Lee's progress with wider tyre up front and the MTM 420 bhp S2 that has 265 front and 235 rear I was thinking of the following dream mod for track or summer (we dont get rain here so it could be almost all year): I am waiting to see if a set of Cup 1 magnesium Porsche wheels goes out on ebay to buy just the fronts and fit them with Yokoham A048 rubber and keep the RE050 in the back. This should have a similar effect that fitting wider rubber up front without the drawbacks of wider tyres.
Still each 964 RS alloy is 1300 Euro + VAT from Porsche and sellers know it. It is very difficult to get 2 for less than 1000 Euro. So probably will get 2 standard RS2 cup wheels and put the Yokohama just for fun. That + rear torsen could see some nice sideways action
with all the time, effort and money spent on your beauty, why didn't you change the rear control arms on the car to the forged ones? They are stronger and will not deform under pressure like the stamped ones. It has been known that the rear stamped metal control arms on these cars heve been known to split their welds.
Lower it, it'll look really pukka then!
Are you going to put any RS2 badges on?
If you want mental grip tyres, there's a new Toyo "Road-legal slick" tyre out now, worth investigating I'd say. Can't remember the model number though, sorry.
Very nice work though, enjoy

Well fist info on this. I know they are softer but have not heard of them failing.
The ones I have, have been hard use for all their life so will stick them. If they fail will change for sure. "If it aint broken why fix it?"
Anyway I am done with the power wich I think is more than enough for this chasis. All the updates will go towards better chasis and less weight. I did think about control arms, starting with front forged ones as I have pressed all round, but Nervas here has some self made titanium control arms. If you are going to spend the money I will go for this + you get important unsprung weight saving.
What about carbon control arms? Are they possible?
@Dan_B. I use to have KW variant 2 suspension fitted. After hitting every single ramp in Madrid I entered, is stock height for me from now on.
What a nice ride!
And those brakes!!!!! arghhhhh me need to get on to that aswell
Great seats aswell. Keep up the goodwork.
A little bit lower maybe, that would help the looks a lot.

About composite materials, I wouldn't use carbon fiber nor any other composite material for chassis stressed parts in a road car. Steel or cast parts usually get deformed (even under heavy impacts) instead of suddenly collapsing, which gives the chance to notice something is wrong before it's too late....
Could not have done it without you. And of course to this great community, before the forum I thought I was the only one who appreciated the magic of the S2, so glad I am not alone in this.
