Brendan at Sliders Guest House took me for a lap of the Ring in his MX5, as we were pulling up to the barrier there was a horrible clunking from under the car, "it's alright" he said, "it's just a knackered CV joint". He then proceeded to pretty much drift the entire lap with the tyres screaming for mercy (Brendan has done thousands of laps including a 7 min 20 something lap on a bike and certainly knows his way round). I reckon if there'd been a camera in the car I'd have looked like that German bird (so to speak) I was convinced a half shaft was going to come up through the floor at any moment or the car would roll (convertible with no rollover bar). The only respite was up Kesselschen as the car had so little power. He is fitting a turbo to it as we speak.
