Lubricating the wp o-ring is a must on 3B engine where the wp is used to tighten the timing belt!

You got it! Vaseline also helps it stay in place during assembly. Just a light coat works perfectly...

Hi Doug, havent been on in a while and have just seen your post. I guess your planning to do your cambelt over the hols too.... I'm going to do mine (if my bits arrive - Martyn?) week starting the 29th Dec. If you want the torque multiplier up till then, give me a shout. I'll PM my number tonight in case I don't get back on for a while.
        cheers

I've found a crank locking tool on Audifans which may be of interest. I will see about making one and lending it to interested parties.

seeing what it looks like I would make it differently.

Let me know if you are interested.

If you use 2" box, you do not need to notch it. I had material to make a few but after trialing one, the box section got mangled which is not appropriate. You need thicker than the 1/8" wall stuff I had, yet still allow a 27mm socket to get through the centre of it. I have ordered a 3/4" drive impact socket to get its outer diameter before making a proper tool up.

I was thinking about using thick wall round tube and machining a notch in it using a vertical miller. once set up this would mean a small batch could be easily made. Then MMA weld a crank bar to it for leverage. Everyone has a different idea about how to do things but as long as they all work in the end.
