Cool, can you do a pic of the hole needed in the bumper? Oh, I'll need the wiring too?
Maybe we can meet on Saturday, I'm off to France in the morning , back Friday afternoon.

Greg did you fit relays? The guy at Watling said I need to do this to save the autocheck system from melting??
Originally posted by Greg_Sits probably best to get a new wiring kit to fit. Didnt take too long, connects in the driv**s side mostly and one to the left indicator

Let's know how you get on, Newsh. There are some seriously thick and heavy reinforcing plates, gave the lot to Stephan yesterday. All bolts / nuts are there too, thoug one snapped, the one just above the exhaust box on the off side.Never show a fool a half built house.

When I fitted mine we rivited the electrics to the towbar so they could be hidden underneath the car rather than be on show with the towbar and it makes it look a bit more discrete with the black plastic of the bumper it doesnt show up as muchGreg

Wow, thanks to Delta for the Westfalia towbar I got it fitted tonight, just come indoors now. I tried my mate's towball attachment and it fits although it ends up a bit low (by about 4-5ins) because its made for a 200 with the exit on the lower edge of the bumper where as the S2 exits below the skirt.. Anyway the towbar is the most amazing piece of kit and just had to be fitted , I'll take some photos later of it on the car before I put the carpet and bumpers back. The reinforcing plates are truly monstrous and I reckon you could pull just about anything with it, there's even a couple of stiffening rods that go up to the edge of the boot opening .. took a while to work out where everything went but then with a few holes drilled it all bolted right up a treat.
Just have to look out for a correct towball attachment for it with the longer swanneck, in the meantime I'm going to try bolting the cup to the underneath of the trailer spine to get some height.
Greg thanks for your help too with pics etc, I think the cutout will be similar although I will have to clear the socket too.

Ah Greg, I see where you've gone through with the wire now, that looks a good idea, just need to find the right grommet.
