I could use a spare as well if you find a hidden hoard

You are very good at soldering then!
I had a look and it's very tight in there. To do it properly you need to use a very thin tweezer type iron as you need to solder both terminals at the same time from underneath.

I’m sure I had to replace the bulb in one of mine, don’t remember it being too hard, don’t remember actually doing it though either

Likewise, I changed mine, I’m no soldering expert by any means, can’t remember it being too challenging with an ordinary soldering iron.
I used one of Jason’s threads as a guide.

Went on a bit of a roll after that, diff lock button and drivetrain symbol, wing mirror adjuster, couple of dash switches, Jason has posted how to’s on all of these.

Remember using this thread last time I fixed my bulb and remember hating the job too

Audi used at least two different makes of ATD, Boge and VDO. I see from that thread that some are easier to fix than others.

On the Boge version the bulb is central and there is more space to solder.

The vdo version has the bulb lying on its side and it’s right next to the connector wires and capacitor pot.
No pic of that as I sent it back to Rikki.
