WTD: Leather driver's coupe doorcard

there's about as much chance of me gettingthis as Gary Glitter getting a job on Blue peter but I have to ask.
Need a driver's side black leather doorcard. Or even just the leather bit to go into a black doorcard I suppose. Previous owner of this interior freaked out when his window jammed down in the rain and completely destroyed the whole doorcard trying to get it off so he could get the window up.
As ever, hit me with your wisdom and/or sarcasm.

fourcircle In the past when dealing with german sellers they have asked to be paid by International Bank Transfer, My bank gives me a £20 charge to process these payments.

ah nuts. I may end up asking the german friend to pay and i'll square him up. coudl get complicated and expensive. Where's the blue card matey and how much is it going for? I wonder if black leather dye would do the trick?

Aye thats the one, The coupe has been in there for a couple of months now, half leather interior in blue.

cool. i'll investigate and see how much they want and maybe have a bit of an experiment. the alternative is to see if the leather on the broken doorcard is ok and see if I can fit that to another black doorcard. Or I could stop fannying about and set the whole lot on fire because i'm busy enough without this arsing about

I recovered my front doorcards, which for some reason were black jacquard and not leather like the rest of the interior. The insert peels off with care and I then carefully peeled off the fabric from the foam backing. I used the material as a template for the leather replacement which i then glued on the foam backing and then onto the doorcard. Pretty sure I got the leather from ebay so it wasnt too expensive and used a spray-on evo-stick glue. Was a little bit hairy getting everything lined up, but it all turned out very well and looks 100 times better than the jacquard

aww sweet! good to hear from someone who's done it successfully. And it also opens up the possibility of experimenting with other textiles. leopard print anyone?

Strange that you guys have to pay 20£ for an international transfer. In Denmark it is 2£ and normally germans dont mind shipping outside Germany, you just have to pay extra.

If I have to send an international payment i'll see if I can do it without the £20 fee. After all I work for a bank.

jesu. are you serious? that's amazing! well done mate. chec out the big set of super go**** on you!!! Mycousin had triplets and the good news is you get every stage out of the way 3 at a time, whereas us mere mortals have to deal with the tantrums while the next on is just out of the hospital and still waking up every hour etc. It will be tough and you'll need family about but in 12 years you'll have 6 extra hands to get a really good shine on your Audi.. sorry did I say Audi? I meant french people carrier.
