Deserately need a new Bomb

MOT bloke says I have no brake assist, certainly there's no change when I pump the pedal for up to 50 pumps.. There doesn't seem to be any around at the Febi dealers, they'e waiting for them to come in.. anyone got one?

There's two types of bomb, better check which type you need

Try All Audi, they sometimes have secondhand ones in. Or Pete @ QC?

Can't see the point in fitting a second hand one, will give QC a call in the morning maybe, shame I didn't buy one before when the pound was better against the euro

and when was brake assist part of the mot??????? if the bomb functions and you get more than 50 pumps then it's good to go. if it's leaking different story, i would try another mot place

As has been said though, this is nothing that should bother the MOT man, mine is completely dead and I've passed

A friend's car was failed as the bias pedal box he had in the car gave excessive pedal travel. I guess if an MOTer isn't happy then it's their name on the form. I know that if I wasn't happy with something and had to put my name to it, I'd want it to be correct. Too easy to say just pass it but if the brakes were to fail (MOTer doesn't know what t might happen) soon after the MOT then he could ahve repercussions.

I think he took it down the road for the brake test and scared himslf when it didn't pull up.


It doesn't matter how many times I pump the pedal, the feel doesn't change, it always feels like a plank of wood, I thought this was just what the Brembo monos but maybe he's right and the servo isn't working at all..

I've got a known good one you're welcome to borrow to see if it is the servo thats the problem mate?
When mine went i could feel the pump "pulsing" through the pedal
