I believe the 7A is 1kg heavier than the 3B so whatever you can take off the 3B + 1kg might be help?

Tried All Audi for 7A ones, should be able to help.

i got a 7a to replace the dual mass. i expect it will be lighter than the dual mass anyway. i got a sachs uprated clutch kit to go on too.

          hope its worth it.

From the images i have seen the 7A has additional weights on the backside of the flywheel, just machine them off flush and it should be hear identical to a 3B item.

I believe this is a 7A flywheel with the weights removed

            My 3B flywheel

I would say both flywheels together weight less than the dual mass version

Have you got a DM to measure. I've seen lots of weights in the teens but the difference in the way the car drives indicates quite a large change.

It's about 3kg difference between the dual mass and single mass.

There's a thread with the weights.

The difference with the dual mass isn't the weight so much, it's the fact it's got dampers to absorb vibrations that makes the most difference IMO

not having seen a 3b or 7a pulley bearing in mind i have no aircon is a swap from an aby to a 3b/7a front pulley a viable option worth looking at too.

You cant as the ABY uses a multi belt and the 3B/7A a v belt.

I got my flywheel to 6kg
