Might as well run it for a bit if it's new and get the bnearing replaced later on. Or get a secondhand one, have it refurbished to the right spec and sell the new one off?

Hmmm.. spoken to the guy on the phone, he's got an S2 and is a forum member, and assures me it is a completely standard RS2.
Id provisionally agree'd to buy it, but now im getting cautious.
Does it look like anything people recognise?S2Forum.com AdministratorComment

twoqu - Cheers for that. Ive seen your turbo disection thread so its clear you know what you're talking about
Thanks to Jamo's alter-ego as a private detective/stalker we've found the exact turbo!
Ive spoken to the seller and am getting some pictures tomorrow, which should prove its not a k24 7200, and ill post up further info for other peoples benefit when i do

It's not a standard RS2 otherwise it would have the compressor housing I have shown previously. Its either a ur/200 or Porsche Turbo K26 based turbo. Look at the compressor inlet. Its only 50mm rather than the RS2/S2 inlet size of 55mm.
I asked him for the numbers of the blue tag on ebay and am still waiting for a response!Comment
