1.9Bar wastegate spring, where to get one?

I know a few people have been after a proper 1.9bar WG spring. I'm after one too (I need 0.8-0.9bar over the stock 0.4bar) so if anone knows where to get one (ideally from the UK) or has one please let me know. Need this for a bit of experimentation on one of Paul's homefry variants

I'm also happy to arrange a bit of a group-buy if anyone else needs one, if I can't source one locally then I'll goto 034 and we can share the postage

    Cheers

        Naughty naughty... very naughty

Let us know how you get on, if we measure it up then it must be a standard spring from someone like Lee Spring.

Look for 10V turbo WG-s, they have stronger WG spring

That's because the map wasn't designed for it so the ECU got in a mess, Ross shouldn't have this problem

i managed to make from a machine shop here some time ago a few spings that gave from 0.4 to 0.8bar mech.boost. Unfortunately none could be used efficiently with my current motronic map, because although they seemed to cure low rev surge, once they got to the higher revs, map was exceeding the 2.1bar and i have apparently a boost cut there.

I even tried a 0.5bar spring which was much better than stock, and it still was creating problems on 5th gear and on. SO i went back to original with the screw tightened up to a certain point.

the result is , if you get a spring, map should be done on that spring only.slight changes may be possible but otherwise it wont work

Stock Homefry wasn't designed for the spring, there is a new version of homefry that is.

You should only use the spring in conjunction will a full remap or chip set that is set for use with it.
