When you stripped the engines in question , you drained the oil first, so any bits would have been flushed out , my point is if you had been using the furmoto for years there may well have been bits that never got out at an oil change ..
Anyway all I'm offering is an alternative to the furmoto valve that will drain as if the sump plug was out, thus being superior , so what is wrong with that ? It will get more oil out and will cost less money .

Really not a fan of a leaver style valve on engines for the oil drain. Any Tom, **** or Harry could just let your oil go.

I used a AN adaptor which has a large bore -12 iirc. Heres how it worked.....

Mock up, thinking drain to the sump from catch tank

And in the End i just used a blanking plug, worked like a charm when you drop the oil and no one carries a 28mm spanner in there pants.
