That would be great, need to have my car look as standard as possible.
New rules in Denmark are coming so if you get stopped by the police and the car looks like it has been altered to much you can risk the chance that they impound the car and hand it over to the danish tax office. Then you can be loooking at fine in the sum of the registration fee which is around 6000£ for a S2
Anyhow if you have one, PM me the price and shipping cost.
I am confused though, I have owned 3 and I am sure they have all been metal and OE item so surely they could not prove that it didn't leave the factory with one ?
It is not because of the pipe itself
But a polished steel pipe vs a plastic pipe. Then the plastic pipe will look more stock I'm also changing to black silicon hoses to avoid drawing suspicion to myself.
Plastic is better since it stays much cooler than the steel pipe. I replaced my steel pipe with plastic and painted it silver (and put reflective aluminum tape on the underside). The original steel pipe would get so hot that I could fry eggs on it, while the plastic one stays much cooler, reducing the interheater effect of the intake system.
Lighter too.
