Both statements are incorrect, hence the "No" which seems to have offended you

Well I can confirm this sender works a treat!

              Heres what I did:

Ran an M10x1 die down the new sender taking the taper off it.
Mauled the knackered old sender off the block with a pair of pump grips
Screwed the M10x1 male to M10x1 female adapter into the block with a copper crush washer and torqued it up
Then screwed the new sender into the adapter using a dowty seal. Nipped it up with a stubby 17mm spanner - all of the above without removing a thing off the engine - loads easier with the adapter in place than trying the get a spanner on the hex going straight into the block.

Started it up and gauge sprang round to 5+bar. Happy days

Just waiting on a new 1.8bar switch now too.

So in conclusion, not a perfect direct fit replacement, but easy to do and half the price of the OEM one (while it's still available)

I didn't have time to run it up to temp mate. It will drop to around 2bar when warmed up though

in parallel with your other thread mate, in the picture above the wire with the plastic spade housing is the oil pressure gauge feed - should be on the WK terminal on the sender
