Cone or Mushroom Filter Wanted

And pipework to run with turbo in stock position.

Need to run my coupe without the airbox as it fouls the Lambda probe..

Might be worth modifying an airbox with fibreglass to clear the lambda, should work better than a cone...

If you do go cone then make sure you go overboard on the heat shielding and cold air feeds. I've done a thread on my setup - here.

John i have a HKS mushroom filter you can try out if you like? Can also supply it with a pipe so it sits right behind the grill like so:



At the moment the pipe runs from the turbo to the filter and to the airbox but can be changed quite easily.

I ran it like this for a good few months including in heavy rain and never had any probs...

That's the way to do it Bo, removing the filter from the engine bay heat. The best possible way is to go through the wing.

James u mean just cuttin the inner wing to put the filter through, then maybe a plate to stop heatsoak will do the trick

Well, your source of air is still from the engine compartment so your still sucking in hot air.

Rusty, I've just read that thread again.
Mmm, I'll have a think about it, was going to put the RS2 box on the avant and just need something to run the car safely without inhaling any small children or dogs.. might mod the ABY box though for the avant with a bit of big pipe as the RS2 box has the leg cut off to miss the GT30.

This session on the car is going quite deep, I just took a whole load more bits off today, its very oily and dirty in there think the rack is leaking and most of the other PS parts!
