Iirc ADU, ABY and AAN are all the same.
Maybe even the 3B ones?

Not to expensive new from Audi or TPS considering.
I wouldn't buy a second hand one unless the wear is still within spec.

The RS2 ADU oil pump (054115105D) is indeed different than the 3B, AAN and ABY oil pump (PN 054115105E). The RS2 054115105D pump is from the AAR diesel engine.

054115105D is no longer a valid part number, it was superseded by 054115105E, which is the same as the AAN.

Nevermind, found it myself. 01/11/2002. (Strange that Kate still shows the 105D in the listings then).

Oh well, I imagine that the diesel pump (105D) was actually better (higher pressure and/or flow). There *might* be new old stock (NOS) on 105D kicking around somewhere.

Tracing oil pump PNs - a new game.

LOL this is a job for Hercule Poirot:

Ask Kate about what different cars 054115105B was on and she says "Huh? Not in the system". Hmmmm....

So then I ask her directly about the PN 054115105B and she says

"054115105B was replaced by 054115105A and 035919521B temp sender"

Okay, so then I ask her about 054115105A and she tells me that 054115105A was replaced by 054115105D (the AAR and RS2 ADU original oil pump) on 28/02/1994.

I already knew the end point of this one but I roll my eyes and ask her, okay, what about 054115105D? And she says (I knew this one now): "054115105D was dropped on 01/11/2002, use 054115105E, as the replacement". Ha. Full circle for me today.

So I presume that 054115105B was from a very early 3B or 5 cylinder diesel (??). The 054115105A was used on the 10V KV and NG engines as well as the 1.98L 20v NM and the 2.2L 7A. Looks like to reduce inventory, they brought it all down to the one pump, 054115105E
