Wanted All Red Coupe Rear Lights

I have just been looking at a post by 'Lighthouse' again and can't help but notice his rear lights are much redder than mine..... What are they fitted on as standard?

So as long as they still flash orange for UK legislation I would like a set....

They're just blown over with tinted lacquer I think mate. At least that's how I am getting mine done

they might be US spec ones. sure they're "full" red.

These USA spec all red coupe rear lights are hard to come by but look ace!
I tried for a while to get some for my coupe but after buying a couple of sets that where supposedly "all red" i gave up..

No. I'm sure they are not the US ones. They do not have the red interlaced through the reverse lights. the reverse lights are white / clear:

Brian easiest way is to ask one of our American members to get a set from a Coupe being broken

Fairly sure there are three variations for UK Market, Oranges sides w/white reverse, Orange/Red sides w/white reverse, and then Orange/Red sides w/white AND red reverse. The same little change in the reverse lights may apply to us market too, early cars white, later cars white/red?

Hmm, I've only ever seen two types - early with orange indicator and white reverse, and later type with redder tinted indicator and red interlaced reverse lights as Brian posted pics of above.

I gave tint spray with the spare set of lights from my other coupe, dont look too bad in my opinion.

Those white marks in the reflector are just reflections from the flash.

Further investigation results in there are 6 different versions

Orange indicator with white reverse
Orange indicator with red tint reverse

Red tint indicator with white reverse
Red tint indicator with red tint reverse

Red indicator with white reverse
Red indicator with red tint reverse

Here is a pic of an S2 with early orange style but odd reverse lights



So to clarify I know I could just tint mine but would prefer a complete red set.

They are US spec post 1991, all the earlier US versions were red indicators but the reverse light was not tinted until the later ones
