Also cold and warm idle is perfect, no boost leaks (and makes the 1.8bar and 1.5bar redline with no problem).

But i've had it a few months now I think, that when reversing off the driveway, putting it in 1st gear, and that it briefly attempts to stall due to not accepting throttle but me already slightly releasing the clutch. Got used to it I think
Can a lambda already cause symptoms like that (and the wavy light load/rpm acceleration) when the engine is still so cold? 228.000km on the original lambda however, didn't find an invoice for it in the pile of invoices, and the probe looks like it.

with vagcom it goes between 0.996 and 1.003 or so, but often stays a few seconds at 1.000, mostly when blipping the throttle a bit.

It drives spotless at decent load or WOT, so nothing major to worry about for the moment I guess

Im pretty sure you will find that the RS2 MAF is the same as a Porsche 968 one. Might be worth trying Porsche?

I tried porsche, they had them available direct from bosch at a sum of £470 each

Avantus, this weekend Dmitri is in the UK mapping... is he going via Germany or are you driving to the UK? If the latter - see if TPS (s2avant on the forum) can help get one in time... £230, I bought two, one for Sonic and one for me a little while back

@ jamo can't say about the screens but the Porsche dealership used the same Bosch part number as Audi. Having personally swapped the plastic mesh from an RS2 maf to an S2 MAF i'm not sure what the difference between the two are there, other than screens, either...

Others on here who have looked into this in a bit of detail have said that the RS2 and S2 MAF's are identical except for the screens (which I assume can be easily swapped).

Try the guy mentioned in this thread for a new or remanufactured maf - he may be able to get a RS2 part numbered one too.

100% the 968 MAF is the same part. Screens are the same as RS2. I bought one years ago.

yes, I can also confirm this, I have a 968 MAF and an RS2 MAF and they are
identical, same Bosch number, same screens.

In that case... get Dmitri to compare max. load value on yours, if it is duff then MAP it on Sonic's MAF as he should be there too and buy a new one when you get home. Just keep off the higher RPMs until you do.
