no, They are not. AEL injector bodies are few mm taller. need also change to AEL injector "clamping", then it could be possible to use them.

So basically I need to use AEL injector bodies and that's it. Or take the car off the road and take original injectors out and swap nozzles.

You should be able to swap injector nozzles in a few hours max, make sure you use new genuine copper washers, this can affect performance. Posts on Tdiclub about this.

yes, you should use new washers. whole set about 2$.
If using old washers there is possible way that somewhere beside injector will be going out air - compression. I have seen this. nothing special just when push pedal to the metal is strange noise. duh duh duh. like slow machine gun.

I would put new copper washers on. I was wanting to pop test etc. Will I be able to just change the nozzles and put straight in? The nozzles were on a AEL before I got them.

Cleaning the nozzles what's the best way?

I'm very surprised to hear that the AEL injector bodies are 2mm longer as I've been running a set of 1Z bodies in my AAT for over 2 years with a variety of nozzles without any issues.

I've also run T4 bodies but found that economy suffered due to the different break pressures.

You can of course use AAT bodies in the AEL. These are the same.

Yeah I knew the aat bodies would work. Try find some in a breakers in Scotland.1z what car are they in?

AAT bodies are the same as 1Z. also nozzles are the same.
