I will pay you for a good block.I have 2 spare engines so blocks not a problem. Also not a problem sleeving(getting new cylinders). The great problem about cylinders is that i do not know what cylinders to look for.I can find them new with good dimensions for machining but my greatest problem is MATERIAL used in them.
Nothing we buy here is good. One of my front shock absorbers hit the bonet because of a broken rubber top mount. It was about 1 year(new, and not a noname,i remember that it was sachs).I think you know about my new sachs clutches failures(3 of them,2 dual mass and one single mass). So i would like to use old german materials
Please make me a price ofer for a good block.
the man whe done sleeving on my engines use GEOTZE (Germany) matterial for it. this new cilinders are for some other car, don't know which.
they done excelent job every time. if you want engine block like that.

engine head full rebuilt.
when time come to start the engine, I know that everithing is ok, and if customer want more HP , engine is prepare for that.
Can you find out a part number for those goetze?I can sleeve it here for about 150 eur+cylinder costs.I want to know how much i will pay for goetze cyl.
you can also find it in GEOTZE catalog, you know the dimensions of cilinder.
the point is that you need good machine shop, because you can have perfect cilinder , but man have to know what they are doing.
now friend said that he remember .cilinder was from opel astra 1.7 dti, those cilinders are in our engine block, but have to be modifited .

Picture #3 is not recommended method for performance application as liner can shift towards crank. Should always machine with a shoulder at bottom of bore for liner to rest on like when fitting a bearing.
I also did not see any marks of "seat" of the sleeve on top of block. But i think seat is machined somewhere near the bottom.
About 82mm.The interior of goetze for opel is 82.So no machining to 81 is possible. Also the exterior should be arround 84-85 mm or greater to be possible to machine a good "seat" for the sleeve into block to prevent it going down.
Please find a part number for those goetze.
