    Door sill protectors??

Anyone know where to get some new plastic door sill protectors?

I ended up with about 500 pieces getting the old ones off.

The s2 limo/sedan/saloon version are NLA currently but Audi Tradition is looking to do another run of them. Got my fingers crossed.

Someone else will have to speak about the coupe version as I dont' have any info on those.

Coupe sills are available from the dealer, but here in the US, they are actually more expensive than the carbon Aronmatic sills.

I ended up temporarily painting the sills black, and it looks pretty decent so I haven't replaced them yet.

I've not heard of anyone successfully removing used ones (in a single, unbent piece) due to the tape and access to it.

I've removed stock one's before no issue and have done it a few times. Use cheese wire and time to do it.

Can't you get them off with a heat gun?

No, I don't have a set, Anton...I had been looking at genuineaudiparts (my online dealer) and they had them listed last year or the year before. There is a chance that once ordered, they may have come up as NLA. BTDT. I never tried to place the order, and I would just get Aron's carbon at a lower cost anyway.

I tried the heat gun, but the sill melts and deforms before the tape gives way.

The wire trick above for removal sounds like a go. Makes sense looking back.

Yep yep! I used them too but when I did try to make the order for those bits, I was replied by email they were obsolete. I dislike that word!
