Single Wiper, RS2 Grille or another?

Does anyone know of any kits for a single wiper conversion Or if the wiper assembly is similar to VW MK2 or 3 etc
Im pretty sure there is not a kit for the Coupe so I'm imagining some tinkering will be needed!

Also can you still buy RS2 grilles, or does anyone know where I can get one like this?

I do not want a kamei one, the hole in the middle for the bonnet release looks ridiculous IMHO, and I also do know that a single wiper is not as effective as 2 for any of you that may think it's a stupid mod

    Any help would be appreciated

that above is a Kamei type grill not an RS2 one. The RS2 one is the the only one to have, all the read look a bit naff IMHO
The RS2 frame and mesh were still available a few weeks ago, the rings are NLA and clips you have to buy from Audi Tradition, total for those bits all in comes to about £300
Single wiper is doable if that's your thing, I'm sure you could modify a golf kit to fit. There are some pics of the linkage in this thread that might help

    Cheers

So is that a Kamei one with audi rings attached, cos the Kamei ones I have seen are badgeless with hole in middle for bonnet pull. WOW 300 for a grille that most people wouldn't say is much different to the current one on the car, even the elipsoids I just bought were less than that! lol

      Thanks for the info Alex

Have you ever seen this kit? Cheap repro maybe, or you think you could get a good result with this?

Seems like you get the surround and the black plastic rings and you have to supply your own mesh?

I've got a Kamei grill I'm never going to fit..

Years ago I had a debadged grille, cant remember the make of it. The surround was thicker with curves on bottom inner corners and the upper corners were more angled. It came with a mesh but with hole for bonnet pull, I actually changed the mesh so it had no hole and cut the bonnet pull lol.
Was sprayed all in a temp/chip resistant satin black, looked okay apart from the thicker curved corners of the grille surround, looked like my car was smiling lol.

I actually have it in my Mum's garage, will upload a pic when I ge t a minute, maybe it can go to someone who wants a happy coupe haha

Cheers just to give you an idea it will probably take a full day here is a thread I found. I have also had 1 for my lupo years ago and the quality was good.Linky then a quick swap for an aero arm and blade I recon it would look a lot better.

You could have a go at making a grill, here's one I made earlier -

That way you can delete the hole too.

                            Not Bad! looks okay
Did you cut up an original grille for the outer or was it a kit? then how did you attach the mesh to the outer, and the rings the the mesh?

Is it all nice and tight, no rattles etc? (talking about the grille by the way)

Yeah just cut up a standard grill, then had to fill the edges. Stuck the mesh and rings etc on with Tiger Seal, worked like a charm, no rattles or anything
