    WTD: Top mounts

As per title, I need a pair of top mounts for my 1996 Coupe ABY S2.

    Cheers

Do not buy anything other than genuine OEM top mounts from the dealer, anything else will fail prematurely.

Please don't post such nonsense on the forum with limited knowledge

There are various options the best being the pro-mounts if you can get hold of them and the Bambridge polybush mounts look superb but are in pre production.

You have 034 ( street density (not track) ) and Meyle HD mounts ( via quattro corner ) that are also a improvement

I obviously mean cheap euro / Chinese crap, and I admit I should have worded it better to make that clear, but you could be politer too pal

And btw it's the Meyle ones failing prematurely on some cars

I would rule out bambridge ones until they have had a long term test,

Top mounts are a pig as Audi didn't leave much space for them - there's more space on a Golf You either go for OE or HD ones and replace them as required or get some solid ones and put up with the ride being a little harsher with the benefit of better strut location.

You can quit the anti bambridge posts unless you want some knowledge made public

Has anyone heard if pro-mounts are available again?

Has anyone thought of using poly inserts (little poly donuts) that can be inserted in the stock top mounts so they become stiffer, just like the additional rubber material that the 034 bushes have?

Mance has been out of action since some surgery a while back.
