    Vacuum Servo

Finally i think I've had enough of the stupid hydro brake assist and I'm going to swap to vacuum.

Has anyone got a decent working vacuum servo knocking about?

They are dead cheap to get new actually and ebay should have a few.

    sent with Nokia 6210

        About this....i have another solution.
I will use the A Classe electric power steering pump and for the vacuum assisted brake servo i have installed an Vectra B 1.7 td Alternator with vacuum pump online.
The alternator has 100 Amps...and the oil feed for the vacuum pump comes from an extra connection from 1 off the oil pressure sensors. The return flow will be into the sump.
        What you think?

dont know, but the hose jade is looking for is fairly rare. i dont think audi tratidion has it. Pirvu, do you remember the part number?

comes off audi s2 3B LHD if i remember correctly and it clears the servo

you guys all have used LHD servos, the RHD part number is different and costs 3x the price. I wonder if they both fit the same... anyone know?

I like the idea of the A classe electric pump not sure about the location or extra plumbing maybe go with a electric Vacum pump

But at the present I am just trying to keep it simple

audi dropped the hydro system for the B5 platform and haven't used it since, thts a good enoguh reason for me.
Also the vacuum is cheaper, more reliable and more tactile to use

This is an reason to try keeping as oem as possible.
The ideea with the vacuum pump attached to the alternator can be a problem with the AC equiped cars.
My car will have custom radiators..so...

maybe because my S2 master cylinder is bigger than the 80 Competition?

actualy...dont know...i was verry happy with the hydraulik servo into my 200 quattro untill the servo died...new price 600 euro... new tandem pump...300.....bomb 400.
Vacuum conversion 50 euro s.h. vacuum servo, 10 euro vacuum hose plus clips.
This is the real reason i changed to vacuum.
                            i will never come back.

I was just thinking, I'm not sure if the 80 tdi was vacuum or hydraulic. If its vacuum I can pillage all the parts you will need from that?? Engine is out so should be easy.
I'll try an look up what it is...
