Fuel pipe from Tank to filter, Coupe

I now have a bad fuel leak on the coupe and need to replace the pipe which comes down from the tank to the filter, it's a 3B but has the ABY battery box so I need the ABY hose. Not sure if these are available from Audi, I made the last one and it's leaking from the ferrule at the top after a couple of years.

Poor you john but think of it this way, this is the third thing so hopefully it's all done for you so it will only get better

Buy the fittings from torques on eBay and fit some stainless braided PTFE fuel hose.

Yeah, I'm all out of cars at the mo, RS4 crashed, Ur quattro in bits all over the country, S2 on axle stands, the lad's S2 with front end mashed, thank God for the motorbikes

Good thinking Brian. How would you go about making the top joint? It has a really long hex nut so it will reach the tank and you can still get a spanner on it.

John didn't I send you some of the OEM plastic DIN hose a while ago?

Anyway as Brian says it is just standard hydraulic type fittings, although the one at the tank end is an odd-ball. I remade the OEM hose using some new plastic DIN hose and reused the tank fitting and used a new banjo at the filter end

Yeah you did and I used it but it had started leaking, maybe I overheated the tubing? I've just been out there and shortened the hose and only used hot water to warm it up this time, at the moment it's holding

God I really don't like lying on my back under the car these days, especially with the smell of petrol..

Haha, yes heat it up with boiling water that's what I did.
