I swear JHM forum sponsor mentioned a while back he had a few and could get more. Worth an effort

I bought an MTM inlet manifold, thinking it would be cool / nice, but when it arrived the casting was 'cheap Chinese style knock off' standard.

I subsequently looked up photos of the original ones on the red Coupe of the day featured in the magazines, also the photos of a genuine period MTM RS2 on here. The green one in the underground car park in Asia. And the originals and mine are miles apart in finish.

The fit was problematic and it needed to be fettled to fit. Not a bolt up and tighten, as it should have been for the money, not to mention the bad aesthetic finish.

Not very happy with it tbh. Wished I'd bought a Wagner one, would recommend you do not seek one out to buy it over a new Wagner one.

Unlikely to find an original one for sale at this stage.

            HTH.

that doesn't sound good.....and I was sort of hoping for a genuine one!....
it is for the more retro look and as I'm running an ebay intercooler the MTM had a shorted throttle body mount which meant my pipework would fit better...

does your Nuke fuel rail bolt straight to the manifold?

Yes. You only need to drill 2 holes through the fuel-rail.

of course, the rail needed drilling....I remembered from a while back that with this type of set up that something needed drilling...

I've also checked your project thread out...nice avant!

Talk to Will20v mate. He sold a handful some time back. I mistook JHM as the same business sorry there. Will said he was getting more. Curious now to know if there were copies made by another company of the MTM. Makes me want to check mine to verify this I hope I don't also have a fake.
