type 85 various parts and advice

A friend has just bought an 85 type 85 cq. He asked my to have a look.
Things I noted needed replacing./ attention
    Sump and gasket dented/ leaking
    Thermostat stuck open/ easy one
    Manifold sounds like it's blowing
Diff locks won't work switch does not illuminate and certainly nowt happens
    Top mounts knock/ easy
    Gearbox whining in 4th
Heater controls broken and one slider control knob missing
    Passenger side window regulator goosed.

Parts wise I need a passenger electric window regulator
    A sump
Slider heater control unit and one of the knobs
    Possibly a manifold

Advice wise. The main one is the diff locks. Any idead what to look for?
I believe it's a kv engine I will confirm this
Can I test actuators with a mityvac?

    I've sourced most bits.
I desperately need the heater controls for the dashboard.

I may have 2 sets of type 85 heater controls but it could be a real mission to find them, I'll have a quick look in a bit and see if anything pops out, I know there is a complete dash from a saloon in the shed somewhere

That would be excellent mate. If it was a Quattro and you have the diff switch panel it would be great.
I think my mate has bought a bit of a dud. That's said he wants it done so fair play to him.:-)

The saloon was a FWD but I got a load of bits with the UR shell I bought off Acidburn, maybe something there.. I found a heater box and controls in the shed and I'm pretty sure my one is still in my UR down at White Cottage, no knobs falling to hand though (so to speak ) It's tricky parting with bits while I've still got the car apart if you get my drift, although god knows I could do with the space..

Just to clarify its the rotary diff knob.
Blue Quattro is it the unit where the cable attaches and the pegs/knobs?
How much are you after? Ste

I'll look at w end for slider, but there's a lot of stuff to sift through! And it's first time in 24 years of breaking Audis that I've been asked for one!
