A few of us need these NLA parts and basically face having to wait for spares off broken vehicles. Would anyone with access to the underside tray, intercooler duct and brake ducts be prepared to help us out by getting them 3d scanned? I'm happy to pay expenses etc. The plan is to put together a group buy.
Wanted: Help with 3d printing some NLA RS2 underside trim parts

I have a couple of RS2's, this 3D printing business sounds pretty high-tech/new world/I'm-getting-old-and-don't-understand, but if I can help out here I will. I'm friends with K Simmonds, he live 3 miles down the road from me and as you probably know also owns an RS2, so between us I'm sure we could work on getting the ball rolling with this 3D printing malarkey...
Now I need to think of stuff I want printing, I know Kit has some brake ducting that I don't have...RS2 - Project Mental Wheels

The undertray would need a very large 3d printer!Comment

The tray is still available from Audi Trad but costs 322 euros. Second hand under trays from other audi 80 models are about 80 quid. It's the brake air ducts I'm mainly interested in.Comment

I have access to 3D printer. Can you post pictures of the parts ?AKmotorsport.net - Manufacturing Motorsport parts that do the job. | Audi S2 on Facebook | Best way of reaching me is sending email to albert@akmotorsport.netComment

The biggest 3d printers can handle that size. The big challenge is getting the item scanned, after that a printing bureau is only an email away. I may have a contact whoset wife owns a 3d printing company that has recently been signed up to an international contract...if she can't help, she'll know who can.Comment

the cost would be around the same for the part form Audi Trad. It makes sense if parts are small.AKmotorsport.net - Manufacturing Motorsport parts that do the job. | Audi S2 on Facebook | Best way of reaching me is sending email to albert@akmotorsport.netComment
