    Coupe ns/r quarter-light glass

    Hello there
    Sorry for my infrequent posts.
Since getting the car through it's MOT a few months ago it had been behaving dutifully well. But, somehow the rear quarter got broken in my car park at home.
after some enquiries i put it over to the insurance company but autoglass cannot source the glass as listed nla at audi. Quattro corner can get one but there is doubt about the optional opening as that is what is shown and mine is fixed.
Does any one have experience with replacing the glass or know a supplier either new or 2nd hand?
Must the seal be replaced as well?

    car is CQ 2.8E MY95

    many thanks in advance

Not 100% clear from your post. You need the glass for an opening rear window?

BTW, you wouldn't need to change seal. Just the glass and associated pop rivets on the pillar trim

      pop rivets??
      ok thanks

      for clarification.
      mine is a fixed window

the quattro-corner listed part/picture apparantly shows an opening window only.

      regards

Yes, the trim down the front edge of the rear window is pop rivetted in place

                          hi again
a few weeks on, but i am still a bit stuck with this.

would anyone know for sure about the part numbers and differences between opening and non opening windows?

as i have already paid my insurance excess autoglass could obtain the glass from quattro corner- if it is the right part.

                          thanks again in advance

Sorry I can't help with the part numbers, but fixed and opening are different.

Pretty sure they are different sizes and the hinge side is slightly different.

Most obviously, the opener has a hole in the rear corner for the pushrod...

                            you need a non opener.

what was wrong with the one offered?

I also have one spare but am out the uk for the next 2 weeks.

                              Hi Phil
I have both sides spare if you get stuck, non opening type, taken from my car when I fitted the openers. As said the opening window has a fixing point for the motor pushrod in the back corner.
