I once got from VAG a brand new VW G60 02A gearbox with clutch slave and release bearing for.... wait for it £325! RRP £2200 exchange!!!

Well I'm just waiting to hear back from AT, and I'll see what Will thinks he can get them for but otherwise if Alex can get me a nice sparkly new one covered in glitter then that would be great!

Well, my dealer can't see if its NLA till they try and order one, so if TPS can't get one it is probably NLA, just not showing obsolete on the dealer system
Best bet - try and order one Charlie.

My local dealer is quoting £573.01 inc VAT, and can discount me 12% = £504.25 inc VAT.
I imagine TPS will be a bit less.

I asked TPS to check the UK dealer data base to see if there maybe one gathering dust in the back of a stock room somewhere and unfortunately they said a categorical 'no' before suggesting I try Audi (rip off, 5h1t site) Tradition. I spoke to the most helpful of all the staff at the Hereford branch so I doubt you'll have much luck mate, that's not to say it's not worth a very long shot...

Well I received a blank email from them, prior to that one ^^ actually, from a non-return address. In any case I tried to log in to AT and what do you know, I'm in!!! What a palava though. And guaranteed the next time I want something from there it'll be the same ordeal all over again. Surely they must have a stack of complaints filling 1000TB hard drives about their website being sh*te! Just doesn't make sense!

I bought the rs2 dampner (034105251m) from quattro corner a couple of weeks ago. Pete said he had one left in stock and someone else has been askong about it. I spent a while looking for one before this with no luck so it's probably worth biting the bullet and shelling out as much as required when you find one. The front part of it - the v-belt pulley (054105255e) - is availble on audit traditions. Couldn't work out if i had warping in the pulley or a worn out dampner so had to replace both.

Yeah, the damper that Pete had is now in Will's hands and a pulley is on the way from Audi Tradition.

Good to hear. Genuinely could be the last new one on the planet. I also asked audi tradition about it so maybe they will see the light and have another production run. Otherwise someone should get one of these over to China and have a hundred or so made up as they'll be in demand for a while yet.

Yeah, I just had a follow up email from AT saying thank you for my order and that I'd need a couple of things from my local Audi dealer and I wrote back urging them on behalf of the "RS2 community" to make more dampers available, as if I hadn't found the one I did it would quite possibly have been a disaster!

Pulley from AT came in today in an old school box, also I went a bit mad whilst on the site and fearing I might have to use it again I stocked up on a couple of things I thought might perish to the elements (faded badges) or lose to the hazards of the road (air ducts to a puddle of water or the neighbours chickens). All unwrapped whilst watching an episode of "The Reassembler" on the BBC iPlayer, recommended to me by Kit, which in this particular episode is James May putting back together a 1957 bakelite dial telephone!
