Yes, but unless you want to bring your car to me, there is not really a good way I can help you...
Because of this my recommendation to find a good specialist and follow their recommended choice of control unit...
I mean I can sell you an ecumaster ECU with a basemap, but then it needs to go on a dyno anyway after that ...

Mark from Auto Mark is doing better job that you are and he is still a fantastic and kind person .maybe you don't know that but the fact that you have got some knowledge don't means that you have to be cocky.
He has a great knowledge, a good heart. He always gave hints where to check things when only a very few could. And then, he shared all those info.......

after that basic adjustment it would be necessary to fine tune and that would have to be done by a person who knows the adjustment, and I have the same problem, where are you? and what price could I give for the adjustment?

a) Max out the maf
b) Tear the wire in it
Anything using the old MAF is a joke, as is tuning highly modified cars by mail.
Do what you want, you have been warned.

Not really, because I'd lose money doing that.
All the time I spend going somewhere, I could be tuning cars.

All of the tuners for the factory motronic here
stateside say they have no problem tuning
remotely. Are you saying they’re liars? The
remote tuned cars may not be world record
holders but I know a few making 400+ whp.
Marc @ EFI Express among others here can
tune maf-less on the factory ecu. He even said
he can program launch control and other features
on the stone age motronic box.
Is the old factory ecu ideal for monster builds
of course not but for more mild builds and people
still on stock internals looking to keep costs down
I think it’s a decent option to stick with it.
For people here in FL the go to Ecu is haltech.
The most highly regarded haltech tuner is down
here in South Florida. He tunes the USP vr6t
b5 s4. Runs 8.6 in the 1/4 mile.
