    1. It is possible to tune the stock ECU remotely using my datalogging, I just don't do it. I don't need support nightmares. Also the result is not optimal, correct tuning needs to be done on the dyno.
    2. What 1/4 mile time something runs shows nothing about tuning ability. Drag car tuning is the easiest thing you can do since everything but WOT and launch is irrelevant. Also from a proper drag racing perspective 8.6 is very slow. But then you don't do proper drag racing on old audis.

These days if I need to tune 2.2T, I do it on standalone. Simply easier to get support later for the customer.

Not unless I'm out of work locally and remotely, and that doesn't happen often... at all?

Fair enough, was worth asking though

I just prefer sitting in my airconned office or my dyno room, and having competent people locally fix problems.

Doing these old cars all you do 99% of the time is fix problems and 1% of tuning, makes 0 sense to go somewhere.
Sorry, just the way it is...

                Hi Dima,

What about the idle? I read that our 2 wires idle valve aren't good for the ecumaster and you need to use a 3 wires idle valve to have a good result, is this right or wrong?

I have personally used the stock idle valve, and did not have any problem. Everything was working correctly.

Personally, I would use Ecumaster "Black", remove idle valve, fit electronic throttle from for example 2.7TT and fit pedal from TDI... Then there are a few less components to have problems - like idle valve, TPS and so on.

Ok, I was thinking on buying a emú for my quattro upgrade, but I need a guy sitting in his airconned office to make me a Dyno remote tune who really knows the 5L

Here I have well known guy who knows the ECU master, kaba tecnology, but.....I don't know

                    https://m.facebook.com/KabaTechnology/?locale2=es_ES

Another question, what do you think about Megasquirt? I'm tired of hearing people talking about it as if it was God. And I think that for our Audis ECU master is a very good option or the best, p&p with the adaptor motronic connector, 2 knock sensors, anti lag, launch, traction control...and a competitive price

                      Megasquirt isn't a professional product...
There are lots of issues from electrical design to the tuning interface.

But in the end, the tuning is only as good as the guy tuning it. So if you have some megasquirt god there locally then you will probably have a decent result.

I prefer a guy who knows ECU master, because the "worst issue" that I can find with megasquirt is that you need to adapt a trigger wheel or buy the 034mts flywheel. Ecumaster use the stock sensors, simple and reliable.

his nostalgia, for those of us who are looking for a good fit is great news, a pity that we have so much distance, did I carry out the RS4 maf for motronic unit?
