  • NTC temp sensor for AAN

    Hey

Can anyone tell me the exact mark of this sensor:
    http://shop.vems.hu/catalog/temperat...nsor-p-54.html

The plan is to solder it onto the original AAN IAT sensor pins and use it on AAN instead of drilling a bigger hole for the 1,8T sensor. Or is there a better alternative maybe ?

    Thank you !

you cannot use the NTC sensor on the original AAN ecu i think. its completelly different wiring within the ecu

I forgot to mention that the ECU is VEMS PnP. Sry. I know that it can't be used on Motronic

        aaa now you are talking!

why dont you want to drill it? once you put it in, you will never go back to the ptc sensor anyway.

GT500 did it for me with heavy greasing the drill and nothing went into the inlet manifold.

I want to install an additional IAT sensor but am really worried about causing some damage by drilling into the inlet manifold. Is there any other (safe) way of doing it?

You can install it anywhere post-intercooler. As long as you make it airtight.
So it does not have to be the intake manifold.

Of course it is the most "correct" way to install it there.
