i sent you the log file for more insight and understandable.
what's the timing light anyway. Is it kinda oldschool timing light gun
and tap a wire on the spark plugs wire on cyl#1 and point the light to the timing belt?
God, been away for a while and same old, same old....
Pop, the above posted timing maps are absolutely fine as BASE MAPS. They wont damage your engine as they are very safe.
Dmitri is pointing out IMO that he could do better. Sure he could, as they are nothing more than a base map. Your timing map though was worse.
It can be very frustrating trying to tune an ECU when you dont have the knowledge, but hang in there, read a couple of books for tuning and you will get there. Dont worry.

Hey Vas,
I'm so glad to see you around! i know tuning is time consuming.i'm keep reading more and more about the tuning knowledge.i'm not going to be a tuner.I just want to have more insights about tuning.money is the answer,i definitely can pay for the proper tuning just for a peace of mind but what's the point of running VEMS without
knowing anything about it?is it enjoyable being able to connect the 55pins and some WBO2,EGT wirings and shout out hey i have VEMS on my car. That's why i'm trying to
ask for knowledge and expecting some useful inputs. This's what the communnity purposes.I have so many folks asking me about the procedures of installing the cayenne calipers.i never hesitate to pm them back with definitive answer and always stand by for helps.i didn't expect anything in turn but if any VEMS literacy just read my threads and seeing my questions and going to say i'm jerk without the willing of helps.i'd rather to see my threads blank.I'm living half of the world away from all you guys.I5 cars is rare in my country.you couldn't imagine the price of parts or availability.it's zero.i bet you couldn't see the S-car easily in my country road so i couldn't just take much risks on my car.if engine blow up,my car became garbage.this's what always in my mind and it's time to speak out.
what's your injector deadtime?..i had all sorts of problem with the basemap marc sent me just because deadtime wasnt matched to my injectors. That was actually the first thing i did before tuning anything else.

Dead time has pretty much nothing to do with high load situations where IPW is more than 4-5 milliseconds.
so what happens if you pull timing, egt changes? knock signal reduction.
are you sure your seeing knock and not another vibratino being passed on. for example the sensor torque and positioning are important as is other mechanical problems. subarus for example light up the knocklink like xmas tree oftem due to the 3rd gear.
