Yea, but many have problems with Vems and stock triggers. The problem usually appears on very high rpm's. The VW Lupo trigger is defenitely a good upgrade.

Hi
running vems on an ABY engine, modified
when I was trying to get it to run I also had a lot of trigger errors,7A flywheel
this may help or not, fitted a good earth strap from the cam cover to the chassis
trigger errors went away but if I log the triggers it is still missing the triggers
the pin on the flywheel is 4mm(7A flywheel)
the pin on the ABY duel mass flywheel is 6mm(cast into the flywheel)
does not sound alot but is a massive difference in the flesh
this was not a perminant solution as I am going to make a piece of tube to fit the pin and weld it on
but the engine not runs ok with no missfires
hope this helps

when looking at the log file
on tickover all is ok
when increasing the revs there is gaps in the log and missfires
this was before the extra earth strap was fitted
also when trying to get rid of the trigger erors I used 3 x different sets of vr sensors and they were all the same
I did try running with the sensor touching the flywheel, could hear it rubbing, that made no difference

got this 'issue' in the same rev range as yours...maybe it's just related with tacho/VEMS output signal noise etc...Comment

Probably noise from ignition system. Bad ignitioncoil grounding? Try changing plugs to the ones with buildt in resistors.
How are the condition of the rubberseal/whatever thats between the coil and plug ?Comment
