    RS2 pads Help

    Hi

I need to purchase a set of std size 304mm RS2 Pads front and std RS2rear pads.
The Audi Parts are extremely expensive.

Does any1 know who I can contact for these pads in Ferodo, Texta or PAG.
With EBC, which one will suit normal road use.

I may need to replace the front disks as well.

I believe EBC greens are suitable for every day use

Euro Car Parts do Textar pads for the RS2 calipers. IIRC they are about £58 + vat

I used EBC green pads on standard discs on my RS2, they made a terrible noise on braking, switched back to textar pads and everything was fine again. Perhaps just a bad set of pads!

I have 1 new front right OE disc for an rs2 if you are interested.

I personally from experience would not ever use the EBC, no matter what colour they are, I tried them all

I'm not keen on EBC Reds to tell the truth especially for normal road use. Poor cold bite and wooden pedal feel. They definitely benefit from having a bit of heat in them to brake properly. Go Ferodo DS2500. They're more expensive but its well worth it.

If you're replacing discs, don't bother with any cross-drilled ones.

Thanks for all the help guys

I purchased the porsche 944T pads and fitted it on the RS2Avant last night.
They were the only ones available in SA and at less than half the price of the Audi Dealers who needed to get it from Geermany.

DS2500 would have been the same price as Audi but also not available.
I would like a set of these on my MRC (R)S2, which I use for track days and events.

Europarts has the Zimmermann discs for 40Quid. Does any1 know if these fit straight on the std 304mm Porsche setup on the RS2?
