Plenty of info on this on the forum. Try a search.

The preferred route seems to be 996 calipers, rs2/seat mounting brackets, A8 disks.

Think you can do this kind of setup for about £500

Yes there are several tried and trusted methods, spend a bit of time searching through the brake upgrade threads here. It's extremely worthwhile upgrading the fronts on the S2 you'll not regret it.
Make sure to budget for decent pads and fluid too.

Get your calipers from Bry, get your discs (323mm x 30mm A8's) from GSF, get your lines from Graham (tekkno435 at s246parts ) and I could sort the carriers (Seat carriers modded). Pads are up to you mate, EBC, Ferodo, Textar, etc.
I'll even give you a hand to fit em.

I am going to say something here, and cause a row again. EBC greenstuff pads, in my personal experience, are crap.

They are not even that good when fitted to an S2 , in my opinion.

Graham, I was talking to Pete Collen from AP and he would also agree with you. He said they used them on their kits for a short time but the pads didnt live up to their claims and there performance wasnt concistent from one pair to another

I think the problem with EBC Greenstuff pads is they are not designed to be used in anything but lighter vehicles. They weren't too bad in my old 600kg tin box, or my 120kg bike IME. But I would never even try them in the S2.

                        Hi sacs2,

I completed this upgrade a few months ago for around £460 and I am very happy....I have not managed to get any fade since (terrible fade on the stock set up) and I can now trigger the ABS easily :mischeif:

I followed Fourrings advise; I used BRY calipers, Fourrings SEAT Carriers, GSF A8 discs and will be getting some tekkno435 hardlines (have RS2 outer hardlines).

With such an affordable and tried & tested upgrade, I cannot imagine why you would go for any lower grade, so called 'blood line' upgrade, just to save a few pennies.

I used the Textar pads, which are the stock Porsche items. They are very good pads with a wide temperature range, but are very dusty, so I would recommend buying a cheap pressure washer

                        Cheers n

EBC do NOT recommend the Greenstuffs for the front of the S2. They do spec Redstuff though and I've just bought a set, I'm really hoping they have a bit more bite than the Textars in my 996 Monos. Greens have been brilliant on the ur with the EBC discs though, I've just fitted my second set.

Its strange, because when I bought my first S2, it had greenstuff fitted and they worked extremely well. When I bought a replacement set they behaved absolutely appallingly. Had them replaced with redstuff which were much better - but not a patch on the DS2500s.
