Here one example to copy from:

and there : Level 3 Brake Upgrade :
This is the ultimate kit for the rear of any Volkswagen. This is the largest rear brake upgrade on the market at this time this is being written. Kit includes adapter to allow the use of the factory caliper as the parking brake. Includes hats, directional rotors, AP 5100 calipers, pads, lines, hardware and adapters.

I have also Stoptech solution as file if someone needs it (send PM to get it)
      Audi S4_Rear_Brake_Kit_Install_Manual_Rev_B_11-13-02.pdf
(Stoptech used to have it in their www-pages)

          Hello everyone!

i have been in contact with marlin company and they told me that in case i find 10 people at least that will be able to buy the adapter that can fit the rear brake calipers of the RS2,then he will manufacture it for us.
He hasnt quoted me for prices and all,but it is a start!
When i get price quotes,i will post again.

What he means to build, are additional adapters for the RS2 993GT2 rear brake calipers(brembo),to be able to fit the handbrake cable and use the rear brake pads as a handbrake,by only adjusting the handbrake cables from the e-brake to the brake calipers. This means no more handbrake problems for the RS2 i guess!

let me know what you guys think!
          cheers
          Vasilis

It does say its SVA and MOT compliant and I don't how it would cope with the weight of the S2, but I'm interested.

It opens up the possibilities of rear brake upgrades without the unsprung weight penalty or headache that the mechanical parking brake throws up

Do you have any more pictures? or information on how it specifically operates?

            thanks

Would having 996 (rear?) calipers on the rear of an S2 screw up the brake bias of the car? If it would does it matter?

why would it? The RS2 runs Porsche calipers all round and we use the same master cylinder

well pictures are only on the web site that someone above has already posted the link for.
im afraid that the 996 and 993 calipers are different and need different parties for them!!!

i have already asked the price in case i dont find 10 people.I know the RS2 is not an easy car to have and easy to find owners anywhere on the net about a project like this!

i believe that this solution will be much better than the e-brake.I mean if this cannot hold the car, then imagine what the e-brake CANT do!!!

besides i think a permanent solution is wiser than having the handbrake serviced every time you check the oil!!

                            raymor,
i think what it does is that 2 adapters are somehow placed in the caliper and between their top holes the handbrake cables are adjusted. Then whenever the handbrake is pulled, the brake pads grip on the brake disc and the car wont move.It is mechanically operated i think, and has nothing to do with the brake system of the car.

by releasing the handbrake, the cables relax, and the pads return to their original position ,not grabbing the disc.

On the phone,Mark told me (the guy who makes these things),that in order to produce some space for the adapter to fit in the caliper, possibly the brake pads should become thinner,or maybe a use o a thinner disc would have to be used. But since i dont have the details, and he hasnt looked at the calipers yet, nothing is certain

                              Hi!
Not sure its a solution necessarily for the RS2 handbrake, but definately a contender for people who want to upgrade the rear to four pots without the additional costs and complexity of a seperate handbrake.
The conversion talks of "plates". I guess these are inserted behind the brake pads. I can see the actuation at the top.
Question I have is whether the mechanism just pulls the pads?

what else could it involve pulling, other than just the pads?
