Hello, brand new to this forum.

Putting 996 front calipers, RS2 brackets and A8 disc is going on tested, effective (in terms of cost, and performance) way.
If you want to invent bike (like I do), then it's ok to put something else. S8 stuff is very similar to 993 calipers. I collect brake porn with photos, dimensions. So if something, I can try to search for some info. S8 calipers should bolt to RS2 brackets, but I have no idea what offset will be required for disc. And note - after much work it can be, that braking performance will be significantly worse than 996 route.
One more wise way is to go for alcons, willwoods or another racing pedigree stuff without alchemy with brackets, machining brake pats, and co.

Spend a good few hours searching through the brake upgrade threads, there is a huge amount of innovation in various brake upgrade routes here, ranging from bolt-ons from existing stock (as Sau has outlined above), to complete custom kit with 6pot APs on 380mm discs.
First thing to establish is "what's your budget"? Using off the shelf stuff, you can squeeze it all in for about £500 with careful purchasing, and rising for more ambitious kit.
Glad you're taking the brake upgrade route though - are you planning any other upgrades?

Like it seams,
I will go the same road as most folks.
Don’t have much time. My car MUST be running by the end of April!

My budget?
Well started with 6.000 EUR, raised to 12.000, and now at the mid still going up.
Other upgrades – to build a car that goes low 11 s in 402 meters (500 hp++), and stops by him selfs.
These calipers are dust-sealed, so they should be good for street. They are light-weight and price is definitely friendly.
I'm seriously thinking of going this way as the price-difference compared to porche brakes is quite big. Someone smart should only tell me the exact caliper model (part-number) to go with...
ok, thats a start bry So its custom brackets then... But what about the general idea of using wilwood calipers that are dust sealed? How much are they dust sealed, good enough for everyday road use in the land that has snow, ice and loads of salt (read: potential corrosion)? Also what bore size to use?
I don't know anything about Wilwood Calipers, don't know if anyone on the forum is using them on the s2? I know people tinkered with Hi-Spec calipers but had problems?
Someone here is fitting Cayenne calipers, and someone else has just fitted 8-pot Brembos from a Merc, others have done AP 6-pots. If money is not really an obstacle, there are plenty of imaginative custom-routes you can go down.
