I'm on the 996 red mono case, with Merc SL discs and bespoke brackets and should have some pics of the S4 for you by mid march

found this may be a help to you
BIRA Releases System 2 for the UFO-equipped cars

03/29/02 - BIRA has completed testing of System 2 for UFO-equipped vehicles and has released the design to the membership.

S2-UFO uses the Porsche 996 Carrera 4-piston monobloc caliper over a Mercedes-Benz V12 320x30 rotor. Unlike other designs on the market for this car, it is a complete bolt-on package for the UFO suspension, requiring no modifications whatsoever to the strut or hubs, and no requirement for removing and replacing hubs or wheel bearings. This will allow the BIRA member to remove the brakes upon sale of the car, in order to bring these brakes onto the next vehicle purchased. Although only a few wheels have been tested to date, S2-UFO is expected to fit under many 16" wheels, including factory wheels.

"UFO brakes" is a term of endearment for the Audi internal-caliper design used on the 1991 model US-spec 200q and V8. It was also used for the S4 and V8 in other countries other years as well. The design was a very clever one, primarily for the purpose of using much larger size brake rotors (310mm diameter) under a then-popular 15" wheel size. Despite the incredible performance that can be had from these large rotors, due to insufficient airflow and a stamped-steel design they tended to warp and produce steering wheel shimmy; due to the extremely low volume they are also quite expensive to replace. BIRA's S2-UFO design is a cost-effective alternative to the popular "UFO downgrade" of installing '93-'94 Audi S4 G60-based brakes (with significantly smaller brake rotors at 276mm).

For more information on these and other BIRA offerings, please review our web site at http://www.bira.org

The brake disc needs modifying to fit the hub. Proven! and it still needs a custom bracket to enable the fitment of the caliper to the strut.

Bira makes the brackets to use this conversion!! They're made to order but you have to become a member of Bira to be able to buy them. Although from what I've heard in the US, there's only thought to have been 2-3 sets of these brackets made so far as there's not been any demand for them over there!

It does not show there is a lack of demand, it just shows that there are not many people with UFO equipped BIRA members.

I always found the BIRA to clicky IMHO but the membership thing works for them so good luck to 'em

                  brackets for porsche calipers

There is some guy on German E-Bay who sells loads of fast audis stuff, and I found interesing thingy on one of his auctions:

                  http://cgi.ebay.de/Paar-Adapter-gros...QQcmdZViewItem

However not shure about rest of setup ... these brackets are designed for biturbo (RS2) calipers. Are monoblocks with different offset ?
